I’m A Partaker

This
is a sign hanging from our kitchen cabinet to remind us that every time we eat
and drink something, we are demonstrating in a physical way that we are
partakers of the Lord’s shed blood and broken body. I am reminded that:
I am a partaker of
remission of sin and forgiveness of sin. He put all my sin away forever when he
died on the cross, and if I commit a sin and come to him confessing that sin to
him, his shed blood is cleansing for me.
I am a partaker of eternal
life. The life of God lives in me which is eternal life. Plus, this divine life
infuses life into my mortal, physical body with strength, healing, and health.
By the beating he took in his body I now have healing and health in my body.
I
am a partaker of his righteousness. He is made unto me wisdom, righteousness,
sanctification, and redemption. I am made the righteousness of God in him.
I
am a partaker of his position of authority. I am seated together with him in
heavenly places, not in the future, but right now, far above all principalities
and powers. The devil is now under my feet. Hallelujah! I now live in a place
of dominion.
I am a partaker of his
victory over the flesh. When I yield to the flesh, I run to Jesus and remind
myself that I am a partaker of his victory, more than a conqueror in him. I
turn my eyes on him to keep him in my focus instead of having the failings of
the flesh in focus.
I am a partaker of his
joy. Hallelujah! I don’t have to wait for some future thing to happen. I’ve got
it now by faith. The Word has been given. I take the Word. I rejoice in the
Word. What God says—IS. So I shout, I run, I dance, I jump for joy, and I sing
to the Lord because by faith I have it now, whatever I need.
I am a partaker of his
body. I have true brothers and sisters in the Lord locally and all around the
world by the millions. Their strengths are my strength. I can assemble with
them and draw strength from the grace that has been poured into them. I can
click the TV on and I can receive encouragement and direction to walk in this
way of victory (in all, you eat the fish and spit out the bones).
Every day I eat and drink.
Every day I remember the Lord’s death, his redemptive work for me, until he
comes. Every day I can live in joy and victory, no matter what. This is the
communion of the Lord. Every day I am a partaker of him.
