NO WEAPON

"No weapon formed against you shall prosper. And every tongue which rises against you in judgement you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righeousness is from Me," says the LORD
(Isa. 54.17 NKJV).

This is a great verse for daily meditation and declaration, to speak out loud into your life. The following are some thoughts that will help give more meaning to it.

NO WEAPON
Definition: Weapon--a device used for stopping you by crippling or killing.
The following are some examples of weapons that are "formed" in our lives by poor choices we make or by circumstances that surround us:
--Poor self image due to the past. By your total commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ, your past is washed away by His shed blood. You are clean in the eyes of God by your faith in Him. Do you willfully continue in sin and mistakes? No! If you do sin, you look to Jesus for forgiveness and strength to overcome your weaknesses. That's why we look to Him constantly.
--Poor health. By faith in Jesus Christ you can receive your healing and receive wisdom to walk in health. Do you willfully continue in a lifestyle that promotes ill health? No! You make changes, looking to the Lord for wisdom, direction, and strength according to your ability. By your faith and committal to the Lord Jesus, you can expect to live in ever-increasing, full, health.
--Poor finances. By faith in Jesus Christ you can expect to be blessed with the opportunity you need and with wisdom, favor, and ability to work, and to be able to do those things you need to do to provide for your household and beyond. Do you sqander your time and resources on vain things? No! You follow God's wisdom to be faithful with what He gives you, so more will be entrusted to you.
These same basic principles can be applied to all areas of life, so that any "weapons" that have been "formed" and are coming against you, your family, and your particular situation, can be clearly defined and overcome.

EVERY TONGUE
Notice, "every". No matter how reasonable the tongue might seem, if it is not according to the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ, we need not to listen to it. Even if the tongue is saying, "That's impossible", the Word says, "With God all things are possible." Stay open to the tongue of the Word. Turn a deaf ear to any other tongue.
Definition: Tongue (as referred to in this verse)--a device used to speak things into your life either to your face, behind your back, or in your own mind, that will work to hinder and destroy you. (The tongue used in a positive way will work to help you and give you abundant life.)
Some Tongues (as referred to in this verse):
--People, using true things about you, to condemn you.
--Your own conscience, using true things about you, to condemn you.
--People, telling lies about you, to condemn you.
--Your own conscience, working with your mind, believing a lie, imaging things and fearing things, and blowing things up, and thereby laying condemnation upon you.
These same type tongues operate in every area of our life every day. As we learn to define them and lay them aside, and learn to listen to "the tongue of the Lord", what the Word of God says, then we overcome the tongue that is working to hinder or destroy us.

YOU SHALL CONDEMN
Definition: Condemn--to prove wrong and unfit for use, so you discard it.
So, by your position in Christ, you can prove wrong, and unfit for use, the tongues and weapons that come against you. If they are not according to the gospel of Jesus Christ, you can put them away from your mind. By your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, your "heritage" or that which you inherit, is a position of His righteousness! God gives you the same total righteousness that Jesus Christ is! Wow! Now, what does that righteous position include?
You are spiritually washed clean. Your past is all washed away by His shed blood, by virtue of the sacrifice that He made for you of laying His life down in total payment for your sin.
"The wages of sin is death" (Rom. 6.23a). God's holy justice demands payment for sin. Jesus Christ paid the price for you.
"But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Rom. 6.23b). God's eternal life is imparted to us by His Spirit that is given to us through our faith in Jesus Christ. This is the same eternal life that Jesus Christ is. By your faith, you are one eternal spirit with Him (1Cor.6.17).
You are seated together with Christ above all rulers and powers in the spiritual realm (Eph.1.20,21; 2.6). That means you are in a position to ignore all the "tongues" that come against you, and disarm all the weapons formed against you, and you can focus on what God's Word says about you for your peace and power to overcome in life.
You are commissioned by Jesus Christ Himself to share this good news with every person (Matt. 28. 18-20; Mk. 16. 15-18). So when "tongues" try to put fear in you or try to make you feel unworthy to tell others or try to shut you up from sharing a good thing with other people, then you can "condemn them" or shut them up. You are called and commissioned by the King to carry out His work on earth to help every person you can in every way possible, and the basic way you do that is by sharing the good new of Jesus with them by word and deed.

CONCLUSION
Quote this scripture over your life and household daily, understanding that as you do, the Spirit of God and the angels of God are working to bring this Word to pass. God confirms His Word with signs following, and the angels listen to the Word of God, coming out of your mouth, to carry out it's promise with power, ministering God's deliverance in your life (Mk.16.20; Ps.103.20; Heb.1.14).
Take the promises of God found in the Word of God, such as "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me", and put those promises on your tongue and speak the life and power of God into your life and situation.
By rising up on the wings of faith, no weapon that if formed against you can prosper, and you can live the abundant life in Christ Jesus our Lord, because "If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?" (Rom.8.31,21).
