In 1995 we went on a two week mission trip with
Barbara Wentroble ministries. We were part of a team of 22 people from
different parts of the United States and Russia. We worked in conjuction with
Pastor Nikki and Pastor Paul, who had laid the groundwork for our coming. Our
ministry was evangelistic in nature, visiting different villages, governmental
offices, orphanages, hospitals. We would go into a village, fan out across the
town in teams with each team having an interpreter. We would visit with the
people on the streets, in the shops, in the offices, and in the restaurants. We
passed out tracts and flyers sharing the gospel and providing information about
the meeting that would be held in the Culture Center that night. Many people
would turn out for the meetings in which we would testify, sing, and preach the
gospel. Many people gave their lives to Jesus. The next day we all loaded up on
buses and went out to a pond and had a baptism of the new converts, giving them
each a new Bible. We set a pastor, who Pastor Nikki and Paul had prepared, over
the new flock, so in two days of ministry, we had started a new church. We did
this in three different villages.

Here’s the team! Becky and
Jackie on the far right.

Becky really enjoys street
witnessing!

We would pray for the
sick.

The kids were thrilled
with their “Million dollar bill” gospel tracts.

Good turnouts for the town
meetings.

The older generation had
seen a lot of changes in their country—from God-less to God’s good news.
