“…If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” Romans 8. 31, 32
By giving His Son, God made a perpetual covenant, a continuously working
contract or agreement, that says that all God’s strengths and resources
are given to us to enable us to overcome every enemy every day, that we
will ever face. The operation of the covenant never ceases.
This same agreement, ratified, made good, by the blood of Jesus, guarantees
us to be freely given all things we need—at all times.
His body was broken for us to freely give us healing and wholeness in every
way. We don’t have to work for it. We receive it by faith, giving Him praise
and thanksgiving.
His blood was shed for the remission, for the putting away, of our sins.
That means every believer stands before God in absolute judicial purity
and freedom. That means we have the same access to God as Jesus Himself.
That means we can commune with our Father with no barriers. This too, becomes
a reality by faith. It requires no work, no spiritual exercises on our
part. Jesus secured this position for us and just gave it to us. We are
joint-heirs with Jesus Christ. We are seated together with him in heavenly
places. He didn’t make it complicated. Any child can simply receive.
The thought I want to get across to you is this: All this is provided for
you by Jesus Christ. It is yours, now. DON’T LET YOUR OWN FEELINGS, THOUGHTS,
OTHER PEOPLE, CIRCUMSTANCES, OR, THE DEVIL TALK YOU OUT OF WHAT IS
YOURS! Your Father gives it to you freely, simply because
He loves you and enjoys giving to you.
Hold fast to that which is yours. Hold fast to it with your thoughts, with
your praises, with your worship, with your laughter, with your meditations
and with the words of your mouth. Let God’s Words be your words. GIVE YOUR
LIFE TO WHAT GOD SAYS IS FOR YOU.
The Blood Covenant is always working for you night and day. DON’T DENY
IT. DON’T DESPISE IT. DON’T FORGET IT. Rather, COOPERATE WITH IT.
CONFESS IT. ACT ON IT. When you do this, you receive all the benefits of
God fighting on your side in every realm of your life. The Blood of Jesus
is fighting for you! JUMP FOR JOY!
It’s there! It’s working for you. It’s really working! Rejoice! Laugh by
faith if you need to. Just join together with what God is doing for you
every day, all day long, all night long. He is fighting for you and God
wins. As you join with Him, you win. You win! Hallelujah!
You
win! The Blood Covenant of Jesus is for you. “…If God be
for us, who can be against us?
THE BLOOD COVENANT
PART TWO
I
go to pray for my children. "Lord, do this for them, do that for them".
I am reminded of the Covenant. It occurs to me, these things are provided
in the Covenant. They are already theirs. I say, "Yes, Lord! Thank you
for providing these things for them", and with praise, worship, and thanksgiving,
I declare into their lives the experience of these things.
"But", you say, "Jesus said we need to ask". Yes, we ask in faith, believing,
and not doubting in our heart, and we speak in faith, believing, not doubting
in our heart.
Mar 11:22
And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
Mar 11:23
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain,
Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in
his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall
come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Mar 11:24
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray,
believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Mar 11:25
And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have aught against any:
that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
Mar 11:26
But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive
your trespasses.
Notice, that Jesus teaches us that having faith in God (original Greek
says, "Have the faith of God"), involves saying, and Jesus equates that
with praying. Well, isn't that the way God operated in the creation and
in Jesus' earthly ministry? Words were spoken and the power of God was
released into the creation, into circumstances, and into people's lives.
That is how we are to operate in faith, too.
Notice also, that doubt of heart can stop the flow of the power of God,
and here, Jesus deals with unforgiveness. You see, unforgiveness violates
the Covenant of God. God's Covenant says that He will take people's sins
away, not hold their sins over them.
Heb 10:16
This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith
the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will
I write them;
Heb 10:17
And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
To have a heart that does not doubt is to have a heart that has clear accounts with God and man. When our heart, our spirit, mind, and conscience, is clear before God and man, then we can have great confidence toward God. By constantly walking in love, we can have a clean heart.
1Jo 3:21 Beloved,
if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.
1Jo 3:22
And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments,
and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
1Jo 3:23
And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his
Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
It's sort of like having a car with a battery that has a loose and
dirty connection--it won't start it! The poles have to be clean and firmly
connected to get the power from the battery to the engine to turn the starter
and get it going.
Love covers the multitude of sins (1Pet.4.8). Love believes and honors
the Covenant work of Jesus Christ in taking away the sins of the world.
If we are disbelieving and dishonoring the Covenant, which is the basis
of all of God's operations in heaven and in earth, then we can know that
we will have no power with God. Unforgiveness disbelieves and dishonors
the Covenant. We can't move with God and hold unforgiveness toward any
person.
But, when we do clear our hearts through the cleansing blood of Jesus,
and we do believe and honor the work that He did, not only for our families,
but also for all the families of the whole earth, then, we have
great confidence toward God that He will perform that which He has declared.
And this is the point of part two of THE COVENANT.
We are not beggars with God. We are joint-heirs with Jesus Christ (Rom.8.17).
God will perform that which He has spoken on our behalf, and on behalf
of all the families of the earth.
We are exalted with Him as a son of God (Gal.4.6,7; Eph.2.6; Php.2.5,9).
In Him, we have received abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness,
so that we are to rule and reign with Him in this life and in the life
to come (Rom.5.17; 1Cor.3.21-23)(stop and take the time to read all these
scriptures if you want to be blessed).
By living with faith in the Word of the Covenant, and by walking in
love, we become the vessels through which all the abundant blessings of
God pours out, not only on our own families, but on all the families of
the earth. This is God's Covenant, that all the families of the earth
be blessed, as He spoke it to Abraham.
Gen 12:1 Now
the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy
kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will show thee:
Gen 12:2
And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make
thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
Gen 12:3
And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee:
and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
In Christ, we are Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise.
Gal 3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
This is why Jesus told His disciples to go to the ends of the earth and
preach the gospel to every creature. This is the fulfilling of the Covenant.
We can know, and be sure with great confidence, that God is going to keep
His part of carrying out His spoken Word. As we do our part of giving ourselves
to follow Him, to just be those vessels through which He can work, we can
know that He will bless, protect, guide, and provide, in order to reach
all the families of the earth with His spoken blessings.
So, if we are going to truly believe and honor the Blood Covenant of Jesus
Christ, we will hold no unforgiveness in our hearts, and we will give our
lives and our substance to Him, to be vessels through which He can carry
out His Word and work on the earth today, to bless all the families of
the earth.
Flowing from our life, and our spoken words, is the river of Life for all
the families of the earth to be blessed.
Jesus fulfilled the Covenant in blessing the people.
The Church of the first century fulfilled the Covenant in blessing the
people.
Now, it's our time to do our part in fulfilling the Covenant that God Himself
has spoken into the earth. It's time for the Church of the twenty first
to shine.
It takes a total commitment to Jesus Christ--but isn't that what He did
for us?
1Co 11:24
And when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, Take, eat: this is
my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
1Co 11:25
After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying,
This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink
it, in remembrance of me.
He laid His life down, and rose again, that we might reign with Him
in life, victorious over everything in life, more than conquerors. For
us to truly honor the Covenant, of His broken body and shed blood, given
for all the families of the earth, we will take this message to the ends
of the earth.
This message is not just ours. It is for the whole world. And we have the
privilege of giving ourselves to be the vessels through which this eternal
life of God can flow out and touch the nations with the healing, life-giving
power of God. This is our part of fulfilling the eternal Covenant of God
spoken into all the earth.
You can know, with great surety and confidence, that God will back up the
carrying out of the mission of fulfilling His Covenant in all the earth.
On that knowledge, we go, we can take action. On that knowledge, you can
go, you can take action, for God is faithful to always fulfill His Covenant
Word.
