DISCIPLESHIP: FIVE STEPS IN PLANTING
A VICTORIOUS CHURCH

The following outline will serve as a guide for personal victory, plus, it is the example that God gave us of how the first victorious church was planted. If we will follow the steps, not leaving out one, the end result will be a victorious personal life, and when followed in planting a church, it will be a victorious, duplicating, joy-filled, powerful church of the Living God.

MANDATE
--Ac.1.4-8. This was given in the same general time-frame as Matt.28.16-20; Mk.16.14-20; Lk.24.36-53; and Jn.20.19-23. It was in those days right before Jesus ascended back into heaven.
--The mandate is go preach the gospel to every creature, but don't go until you are endued with miraculous power from on high. This mandate is to every person.
--They gave themselves to prayer and to dealing with any other practical matters that would be a hindrance to getting the gospel out in full force. Ac.1.14, 24-26.

MANIFESTATION
--Ac.2.1-13. Here, the disciples go from the teaching to the transformation. They actually experience the manifestation of what was prophesied in the Old Testament and of what Jesus was teaching them would happen. Isa.28.11,12; 44.3;  Jn.7.36-39.

MESSAGE
--Ac.2.14-37. With the manifestation of the joy of the Holy Spirit right before everybody, Peter proceeds to explain what is happening. The title of his message could have been: "Joy Through Jesus".

METHOD
--Ac.2.38,39. The people, devoutly religious people, asked the disciples at the end of Peter's message, "Men and brethren, what shall we do?" They were "pricked" in their hearts. They knew there was a dimension of life they were missing, and they wanted this victory and joy that was being displayed before them. Peter gave the method of the three simple steps of "How To Get Joy Through Jesus".
    1. Repent (v.38). Turn from your present religious ways/life, and turn to Jesus.
    2. Be baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ to demonstrate your forgiveness of sins through faith in Him.
    3. Receive the gift of the Holy Spirit according to the promise of  the scriptures made to you and your sons and daughters--the Spirit upon your life, not just in.
We are promised to be given the Spirit in and upon. Ezk.36.25-27; Joel 2.28.

MAINTENANCE
--Ac.2.40-47. Peter concluded his message by testifying and encouraging the people to "Save yourselves from this untoward generation". He was teaching them how to maintain the victorious life in the Lord even in the midst of a crooked and perverse society. Then we see how this same victory was maintained by the corporate body of people so that they multiplied and duplicated themselves, with the Lord adding to the church daily such as should be saved.

If we want victory personally, and as a church, and if we will plant the church by following the plain and simple pattern God has given, and not leave out one step, we will experience victory, and that victory will be duplicated across the face of the earth.

SUMMARY OF HOW TO LIVE IN DAILY PERSONAL VICTORY
1. Stay in the Word. Deut.6; 28; Josh.1.8. Ps.119.130,133,165.
Start the day off with the Word and in every spare minute you can take
advantage of throughout each day, take in some Word, and end the day with
the Word.  Listen to tapes of the Word. "In the beginning was the Word, and
the Word was with God, and the Word was God" Jn.1.1. Heb.4.12.
2. Pray in the Spirit (using your tongues prayer/worship language) constantly.
Discipline yourself to be praying throughout the day under your breath, and
out loud when the occasion permits. Take notes on the revelation you receive.
    He will teach you. 1Jn.2.27; 1Cor.14.2-4,14,15,18; 1Thes.5.17; Jude 20,21.
3. Give out to others that which you have. Give a witness to others of what Jesus
has done for you. Give healing to others. Give financial and practical help as
    others have need. Lk.6.38; Ac.20.34,35; Eph.4.28; 2Cor.9.6-11; Gal.6.9,10.

By disciplining yourself to develop a lifestyle of staying in the Word, praying in the Spirit, and giving out out that which you have, you develop a lifestyle of victory. If each person does this in the church, and teaches others to do the same, and those teach others on down the line, the victory and power of God becomes manifest in the whole church, affecting the whole region. This happened in the early church, and this is God's purpose for the church today. Total victory.
This is how the victorious church is planted in the earth today.
