DISCIPLESHIP: IN THE FACE OF LACK, PREACH THE LORD

Introduction:
If our "lack" is the need for forgiveness, preach the LORD. If our "lack" is the need for healing, preach the LORD. If our "lack" is the need for finances, preach the LORD. All good things come from the LORD.
"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake" (2Cor.4.5). It's not our abilities or knowledge that gets the job done in the face of impossibilities--it is God's knowledge and God's ability that makes all things possible to those who believe (Mk.9.23).
When there is lack, you don't have anything to give anyway. Dish out the Word in faith. Turn it loose to work. Cast yourself on the Lord and allow Him to direct your path into the solution and unto victory.

PROVERBS 14.27--AN AFFIRMATION
"The fear of the LORD...
I (we) will walk in total love and faith, always believing and confessing God's Word of promise, yielding to the Holy Spirit...

is a fountain of life...
who is the source of the miracle working life of God, and who is the source of all good things from the favor, pleasure, and ability of God toward me (us)...

to depart from the snares of death."
to deliver me (us) completely from all sin, sickness, poverty, and all devices of the enemy that are designed to hinder or destroy me (us), my (our) family, or those to whom I (we) minister.

PROVERBS 8.1,13,17-21--AN AFFECTION
If we will use wisdom, and turn from pride, evil ways of disobedience to God's Word, and from speaking evil and negative, and give ourselves to love God and His ways of wisdom, then we will be blessed in the earth.

v.17 "I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me."
--God's blessings are released upon those who give themselves to love Him with all submission and obedience. Being loved of God is the ultimate!
--"early" 7836 "to dawn; be early at a task; to search for painstaking".

vs.18 "Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness."
--"honour" 3519 kabod "weight, splendor, copiousness"--glory, glorious.
--"durable" 6276 "antique, valued".
--Riches and the glory of God is part of the benefits package of yielding our life to Jesus completely. These riches endure forever because when we are yielded to the Spirit of God, He knows He can entrust money into our hands because it will be used to further His kingdom either directly or indirectly. "You can't take it with you" is not true in God's kingdom. God's riches are "durable riches". Money invested in God's kingdom is money you can take with you through the lives of those touched by the glory of God.

vs.19 "My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver".
--The fruit of wisdom and the "revenue", the income, that comes to us by walking in the wisdom that turns from sin and obeys the LORD, is better than the finest gold or silver. It provides something that money cannot buy--the presence of God in our daily lives, and the blessings that accompany Him.

vs.20 "I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgement:"
--God's wisdom in us will walk us into the "right ways" and into the "paths of judgement", leading us to make the right choices, to have the right connections, with the right timing in all things, so that we always prosper in all things.

vs.21 "That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures."
--"substance" 3426 "to stand out; exist; entity; there is or are; to be"
--"cause" (from 2580--graciousness kindness, favor, beauty) 2600 "gratis i.e. devoid of cost, reason, or advantage".
--Hallelujah! See! It does not depend on our knowledge, goodness, or ability. All we do is give ourselves unreservedly to love and obey the LORD, the Holy Spirit, to follow His promptings, to obey the Word. When we yield to the wisdom of God, He imparts His "substance", His being of existence, His LIFE AND ANOINTING to us, and THAT ANOINTING DESTROYS EVERY YOKE OF THE ENEMY! Plus, WE GET OUR TREASURE FILLED! Glory!

Conclusion:
God has provided to bless us richly in all things. Let us hear His Word of promise and submit to Him fresh and new in every area of our lives to love Him with our spirit, soul, body, and finances, turning from all wavering and disobedience, and His life and power will be released into our lives today.
In the face of lack, preach the LORD, and the Word of the LORD is the hammer that will break the rock of "lack" into pieces (Jer.23.29).                                                          Sun.morn.11-28-99
