THERE IS HOPE!
When we reach the end of our resources,
know this: because Jesus Christ arose from the dead--there is hope!
"The LORD is my shepherd...Yea, though
I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil..."
(Ps. 23.1,4). When the LORD is our shepherd, there is an expectation of
good, even in the face of death.
"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow
me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever"
(v.6). God shows us His goodness and mercy by giving us Jesus. Because
of God's love for us, in giving His own Son for us, we can receive everlasting
life with Him, even though we do not deserve it in ourselves. No matter
how hopeless it seems, because of Jesus, there is hope that goes beyond
this life.
He gave His blood to wash away our
sins. He did it because He loved us. Bow before Him and receive His love
gift to you. He is thrilled when you receive His love gift. He does not
want to see you swept away into eternal destruction and misery because
of sin. He gave His blood to wash all your sins away now, so you can have
a living hope, an expectation for good, for all eternity. He did this for
you because He genuinely loves you.
When there seems to be no hope, turn
to Him. Turn your past, your present, and your eternity over to Him. It
is too heavy for you to carry. Carry it no longer. Give it to Him. He has
carried it for you, and will carry it for you.
Scoffers come and go. They rear their
head in defiance and cite empty philosophies and reason with all the religions
of the world. Reasoning, hurt, bitterness, and pride are their gods. But
let them face the chilling stare of death. They change their tune. Hell
is real whether we like to face it or not. The devil waits to take his
servants away forever. There is no return from his grips. There is no hope
outside of Jesus.
Now is the time to receive His mercies.
He will take your burden away. Then you can say, "Yea, though I walk through
the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil...."
"Whosoever shall call on the name
of the Lord shall be saved...Repent, and be baptized every one of you in
the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive
the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you..." (Acts 2.21).
God graciously invites every one to come to Him for cleansing and renewing
in the power of His Spirit. He has given this promise to every one who
will call upon His name for mercy.
He does not call you to join the church.
He does not call you try to be good. He is calling you to just receive
His mercy and cleansing; to receive His eternal peace now and forever.
He is calling you to have an eternal hope, a joyful expectation of good
from His mercy and grace, both now and for all eternity. He is calling
you to become one with Him so that we can all be together again for all
eternity--all because of Jesus and His love for us.
Right where you, right now, bow before
Him and give Him your life. Give Him you sin, your goodness, your failures,
your strength, your fears, your family, and all your future. Place it all
in His loving and strong arms. He will receive you, and He will shelter
you now and for all eternity. Jesus is your salvation.
Now confess Him before men by being
baptized. Follow Him with all your life. He bought you from the slave market
of sin and satan. Let the whole world know what He has done for you, so
they will have a testimony that He will do it for them, too.
Know this also: the same love that
forgives and takes away all your sins, is the love that heals and takes
away your sickness and disease. The same faith that receives forgiveness
on the basis of the Word of God, is the same faith that receive healing
on the basis of the Word of God.
"With his stripes we are healed" (Isa.53.5).
He took that beating in order to take your sickness and disease away.
"He...with his word...healed all that
were sick: that it might be fulfilled... Himself took our infirmities,
and bare our sicknesses" (Matt.8.16,17).
"How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth
with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing
all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him" (Acts 10.38).
Notice, He healed all. That includes you.
Healing is part of the mercies of
God that follow us all the days of our lives. The devil is come to steal,
kill, and destroy, but Jesus has come to give life, and life more abundantly
(Jn.10.10). "For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might
destroy the works of the devil" (1Jn.3.8).
God's desire for you is that you receive
the good news that Jesus has come to take your sins, sicknesses, and satanic
bondages away. He has come to give you abundant life. Believe His love
toward you. Agree with Him. Look to Him for your deliverance today.
Because Jesus is alive from the dead,
there is hope for you today. Take the first step and give Him your life.
Receive the infilling of His Holy Spirit. Be baptized to show that you
have given your life to Him.
Receive your healing in the same way
you receive your forgiveness. Show Him that you believe, by thanking Him
for healing you simply because His Word said so. Do something you couldn't
do before to show your faith in Him.
Those of the world have no hope. This
life is as far as their life goes, then they are in the torments of death
and hell for all eternity. But you can have hope. Don't bow down to your
pride. Give it to Jesus and live forever. Let Jesus take your burdens today.
Be free to soar into His arms forever. Let nothing stand between you and
Him.
There is hope for you today because
of Jesus.
There is hope.
