In the beginning was the Word, and the Word
was with God, and the Word was God.

It is most important that you take in the Word of God by reading the Bible each day. The Word is your spiritual food and your guide, along with the Spirit, that will reprove you and encourage you to keep you in the way of truth. To read and study the Word is to be taking God into your life. Pray and ask God to reveal Jesus, the Living Word to you as you read the Bible.

The following is an overview of some of what you will read in the Bible.

1. Read in Romans, chapters 1-7, of man's condemnation and struggle because of sin, and of what Jesus has done to set us free from sin.

2. Read in Romans 8, how through the power of the Holy Spirit we can experience a lifestyle of victory in every way in every circumstance. The key is by living a lifestyle of praying in the power of the Spirit.
Romans 8.26-28. Also, 1 Corinthians 14 and Jude 20,21.

3. Read in Acts, how the believers were filled with the Holy Spirit with supernatural manifestations of the Spirit, to enable them to go out into the world and be effective witnesses of the resurrected Jesus. You, too, can live in the power of the Spirit just as did the believers in the book of Acts.

4. Read in the gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, of the life and ministry of Jesus, who is your example and pattern for life and ministry.

5. Read the letters that the apostles wrote, to gain an in-depth understanding of God's operation in His kingdom of believers, of the totality of Christ's finished work, and of the believer's present position in Christ of total victory in every way.

6. Read in the Old Testament how the revelation of Jesus Christ and how God's plans, purposes, and pursuits have unfolded throughout the past ages, and how it all fits together as a perfect whole in the person of Jesus Christ in His followers today. Also, see the strategic prophetic position of Israel today.

7. Read in Revelation how this revelation of Jesus Christ unfolds in all time and how it comes to full fruition at the end of the ages, even though there is  destructive opposition that is always exerted by ungodly people and the devil. The saints and the Church of Jesus Christ overcome!

The simplicity of growth and stability in Christ is this:
1. Feed on and speak the Word  constantly.  Deuteronomy11.18-21. Joshua 1.8. Colossians  3.16.
2. Pray in the Spirit constantly. Ephesians 6.18.
    1 Corinthians  14. 2, 4, 14, 15.  Jude 20,21.
3. Share with others constantly that which God has done for you. Your lifestyle of joy and peace is the foundation. As you give out to others, more is given to you. Fellowship in a church of like-minded believers. Being sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit, share your faith with people of the world who need Jesus. Matthew 10.8,42.  Luke 6.38.
2 Corinthians 9.6-8.

Follow Jesus in this way, and you will grow strong in the grace and power that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
