Duplication in business: A Wal-Mart store in Portland, Oregon is basically the same as the Wal-Mart store in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. In education: Because students can all be taught known principles in any given field of study, masses can be empowered to produce myriads of benefits to society as a whole. In the Military: Principles of effective warfare trained into thousands of soldiers builds strength into our national security. The point being made: Enterprises are successfully accomplished through the employment of the principle of duplication.
God’s plan for the world to know the man Christ Jesus is based on the principle of duplication. The instructions that Jesus spoke last so followers would have it in their first and foremost memory was, “All power is given unto to me…Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing…teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you…I am with you alway…” (Matthew 28:19, 20). He told them the power would always be with them to teach by precept and by practice – the things that he said and did they could say and do too. He told them to go duplicate into the peoples of the nations all that he had deposited into their lives.
The seasoned and savvy servant of Jesus Christ, the apostle Paul, gave his Spirit-inspired instructions to young preacher Timothy: “And the things…heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit…to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also” (2 Timothy 2:2). Paul went around teaching and preaching with miracles following, and he would relate this to those with whom he came in contact (Acts 14:3, 27; 15:4, 12). His teaching to be duplicated was a practice of the miraculous life and power of Jesus Christ. He didn’t just speak the words, he did the miraculous works.
This is God’s plan for us to promote the gospel: We are to get hooked up with the power in such a way to produce the miraculous works of Jesus. This is the normal Christian ministry. This duplication, like in business, education, and the military, is a primary step one to successfully promoting the kingdom of God to the world. 6-8-13
