The Suffering Savior, Signs and Wonders, and Sharing Freely With All
After almost 60 years of walking with the Lord, I see the simplicity of God’s operation which is God’s answer for the world today.
The simplicity of God’s operation is this:
Jesus was born of the Spirit, baptized in water, baptized in the Spirit, and led by the Spirit. The apostles and the 120 were born of the Spirit, baptized in water, baptized in the Spirit, and led by the Spirit. The early church believers were born of the Spirit, baptized in water, baptized in the Spirit, and given to be led by the Spirit. Why would anyone want less than all God has for us? Why divide it up? This is the way God set it up for all believers to be sealed in his ways by his Spirit.
Suffering Savior
The Savior came and suffered to take our sins away, to take our sicknesses away, and he defeated satan for us. As we believe this good news and consistently apply it to our lives, we will walk in the experience of it. When we first believe, we are to be water baptized in obedience to God with a clear conscience, born again, cleansed by faith in the blood of Jesus, and in public identification with the Savior.
Signs and wonders
The baptism of the Holy Spirit is for every believer. Through this operation of the Spirit we have a supernatural prayer language available to us. When we don’t know how to pray, the Spirit has his own prayer language that we can utilize to help us in prayer. We are God’s house of prayer on the earth. Plus, there are other gifts and manifestations of the Spirit for our good and for supernatural ministry. Jesus came to heal the world, as abundantly prophesied and recorded in the Word. It is through the power of love, faith, and the Holy Spirit that this is done today.
Sharing Freely With All
The last message Jesus gave the church before he ascended back into heaven was to take the gospel with the power of God to the ends of the earth – to every creature. Remission of sins, forgiveness, healing, freedom from satan’s bondages, resurrection from the dead, and the power of God, is all to be shared freely through the leadership of the Holy Spirit with all people.
If every believer, every preacher, and every church duplicated this simple message and operation of God, there would be a worldwide revolution for Jesus.
