Lessons From T.L. Osborn

By Daniel King, who followed Osborn’s model of evangelism reaching millions

1. Be humble. Don’t have confidence in yourself or think you are great, but walk with confidence in the great God. Have confidence in His faithfulness and His authority.

2. Preach a simple gospel. It consists of four parts:

          . God’s creation

          . Satan’s deception

          . Christ’s substitution

          . Our restoration

3. Lift people up. Make them feel valuable. They are not beggars or inferior in Christ. By faith in Christ, they are new creations and joint-heirs because of what Jesus has done.

4. Power of a book. Write things down. Pass on to others the treasures God gives you. (Osborn has given away tons of books). God speaks through books. See 2 Timothy 4:13—Paul wanted them to bring the parchments and the books.

5. Miracles prove Jesus is alive. Osborn would often start his sermons by telling the story of a healing. Then he would tell of healing in the Bible. Then he would pray for the sick. Then he would have on-the-spot testimonies of healing and changed lives.

6. Words are powerful. God used words to create. The Bible is God’s talk. We have the ability to talk. We get people saved, healed and blessed by using words. When we speak God’s Words (seeds), they will be planted and work and people will get blessed.

7. Jesus paid the price. Is there a price to pay for having a healing, miracle-working ministry? Yes! A very high price, but Jesus paid the full price on the cross. Our trust is in Him beginning to end.

The responsibility for miracles is off of us, and it is put directly on Jesus. Jesus paid the price to be anointed of God. We submit to and surrender all our life to God to walk in the miracle-working anointing and power of the Lord Jesus Christ.
