One Coin

Man was given responsibility over the earth to “have dominion” and to “dress it” and to “keep it” (Genesis 1:26; 2:15). God put man in charge of running the show on earth. Jesus told Peter that he was giving him the keys to the kingdom so that whatever he loosed and bound on earth would be loosed and bound in heaven (Matthew 16:19). People often ask, “Why does a loving God allow such and such to take place?” God did not allow it. Man allowed it, and satan roams the earth to destroy. Somewhere down the line, man steers away from operating in the power of the Word, the truth, and love, allowing deceptive stuff to operate. People have led whole societies away from the truth for generation after generation because of the lies they allow to operate. Living life in harmony with God brings life and blessing. Living life apart from God brings death and destruction (Deuteronomy 28:1-14 then 15-68). Man is designed to live his life in dominion on earth in harmony with God. Satan questions and twists God’s Word to produce disharmony. It is like a coin. On one side of the coin is the Almighty God and on the other side is the responsibility of man. It is two different things but they are designed to work together as one. Chaos results without this harmonious relationship working together. Coupled with the lie that God allows evil to happen, people will justify themselves before God thinking by their knowledge of good and evil, that they are not really all that bad, so they are qualified to be blessed by a holy God. That is deception. Our goodness cannot make us right with God nor earn his blessing. The good news is that we can be right with God and be blessed in him by the righteousness and blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ. When we truly believe on him, we love him and follow him, because without him we are destined to hell in all of our “goodness”. The Bible says there is none righteous, no not one, and all have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:10, 23). Evil comes from sinful man and a sinister devil, not God. Natural disasters comes from the prince of the power of the air. The Bible says the earth is “groaning” because of the “bondage of corruption” (Ephesians 2:2; Romans 8:21, 22). Jesus rebuked the storm, he did’nt say it was from God to test them (Luke 8:24). Through Jesus Christ, we are to align ourselves in harmony with God to rule and reign on earth through faith in his Word and through the power of His Spirit. By being born again through Christ Jesus the Lord we can walk in faith, truth, and love to bring hope, help, and healing to the world. We do it through being one with Almighty God who raised Jesus from the dead bringing righteousness and healing to the world.
