Some of you might remember the legendary BooBoo the Chicken. You can still find the information at www.BooBoothechicken.org. It is the fascinating and humorous story of a chicken which I owned that was resuscitated from drowning in a small pool in our back yard by my sister, the late Marian Morris. The year was 2006. Because the news reached around the world via the AP News Network and the Jay Leno Show, I billed BooBoo as the most famous chicken in the history of the world. We received responses from Great Britain, India, Venezuela, Canada, and many other places. One aspect of the story that I don’t think I have elaborated on in this column, is the part about ChickaBoo. The one egg that hatched in an incubator, out of six laid by the world-famous BooBoo, I named ChickaBoo. My sister made the appearance on the Jay Leno Show with Terry Bradshaw in a hilarious episode. I think it can still be seen on You Tube or some platform. Later, after my sister’s initial appearance on the show, the news of ChickaBoo reached the Jay Leno group. They were planning to send a crew out to Arkansas to give the world a satellite follow-up on the on-going saga of BooBoo’s offspring. Unfortunately, during the interim time, ChickaBoo took the final flight to the great roost in the sky, and that television debut had to be scratched. Over a period of time things sort of died down (literally). However, a quick search with Mr. Google will reveal some interesting and entertaining facts. What I spoke over BooBoo when I found her floating in the pond and unresponsive—it is being fulfilled. I spoke over that chicken when I found her quite fervently, “You will live and not die, in Jesus’ name.” In a very real sense, BooBoo lives on. We had many reports of people who would play the clip of the Jay Leno Show to lift their spirits and start their day. You know, the Lord wants to bless people any way He can. That is His nature. He is good. He lifts up those who are bowed down. He is not out to destroy anybody. Jesus took sin away and defeated the devil. Now, we can live in the favor, blessing, and presence of God Himself through the righteousness and sacrifice of His Son, Jesus the Spirit-anointed One. There is a global revival going on right now. People are tired of empty, dead religion. People want the reality of the love, power and presence of God the Father. Twenty years ago, God raised a chicken up through the name of Jesus to bless people. So much more does God want to set people free today through that mighty name of Jesus. Who will believe the Word of God and take action on it? Are we more concerned about what people think than what God thinks? God will make His Word real, if we will believe and act on it.
